MacDermid ColorSpan, Inc., an innovator and leader in the wide-format colour inkjet printer market, introduced a grand-format piezo-electric solvent ink printer, the DisplayMaker 110s. Designed around 72 high frequency printheads delivering print speeds up to 1000 sq. ft./hr., the DisplayMaker 110s offers an unprecedented speed to price ratio when compared to other wide- and grand-format printers.

" We have partnered with American Express Business Finance to deliver a total cost of ownership program called TOPPS. Simply put; the TOPPS program is a flexible, all-inclusive lease program that supplies the printer, installation, service and inks for as low as $0.15 cents a square foot. And best of all, the customer can estimate their production volumes to get the maximum discount, then they can increase or decrease their monthly payments to adjust for seasonal or cyclical business trends.

While priced in the range of other wide-format solvent printers, the DisplayMaker is a grand-format printer capable of printing up to 110-inches across a maximum media width of 113-inches. This extra width accommodates printing the full height of semi trailers for fleet graphics applications without tiling or billboard and large banner applications with minimal tiling.

Designed-engineered as a production sign system, the DisplayMaker 110s uses 72 industrial quality piezo-electric printheads with 9,216 total jets. The printer boasts 2-pass print speeds exceeding 1,000 square feet (93 m2) per hour, ideal for high production runs and a viewing distance of 10 or more feet. In 4-pass mode, the printer turns out 700 square feet (65 m2) per hour for even closer viewing. An 8-pass, highest quality mode is also available at 350 square feet (32.5 m2) per hour.

SolaChrome solvent-based, pigmented inks are available in cyan, magenta, yellow, and black and are designed for reliable jetting, low maintenance, long head life, low cost of operation and long term outdoor display life - three to five years depending on application. SolaChrome inks print directly on standard uncoated vinyl and other substrates for durable, outdoor graphic applications.

Ink Delivery System - The SolaChrome inks are held in 3.2-liter reservoirs that can be "topped off" for non-stop production printing. Peristaltic pumps provide continuous circulation and filtration of ink for maximum efficiency.

The printer is a complete, network-ready printing solution including an integrated, rack-mounted ColorMark.
