MPillar Technologies promoted the latest in corona treatment, flame treatment and atmospheric treatment systems from both Pillar (U.S./Canada representation) and Sherman Treaters (Worldwide representation). For the first time ever, the two companies, both divisions of ITW Inc., promoted the most comprehensive line of surface treating products for the wide and narrow web package printing, film extrusion and flexible package markets.

Surface treatment enhances ink adhesion and printability on plastic films, papers and foils using either conductive and/or non-conductive systems for solvent based, water based and U.V. inks or coatings.

The Isis Corona Power Generator (Intelligent Switchmode with Integrated Software)(pictured) offers a menu driven control system; closed loop control of real power; self-matching circuitry - auto tunes to load match; variable output frequency; automatic watt density control; and multi-languages and various access screen levels

Pillar also demonstrated the web cleaning capabilities of its new narrow web systems. The web cleaning feature is available in various models ranging from a vacuum style head complete with static removal bars and exhaust filtering system to a tacky roller mounted in place of idlers. Available in both single and double side applications, units come completely unitised in easy to use, turn-key package.
