At drupa Hell will introduce HelioCom X, the latest development of the extremely successful workstation for designing cylinder layouts. Based on the innovative Mac OS X operating system,

HelioCom X integrates all professional functions into a single high-performance Power Mac G5 workstation.

Its most important features include direct importing of Artpro data, RIPping of PostScript and PDF, creating cylinder layouts under visual control, direct proofing on large-format proofers, TIFF engraving data outputs and complete parameterisation of Hell HelioKlischographs by means of job tickets. Hell Gravure Systems will also be unveiling the JDF Interface 1.0 for networking production sequences and integrating offset and engraving workflows.

Visitors to the Hell booth will be able to see how the Heidelberg Printready System is able to control engraving form manufacture via JDF parameters.
